What is Classic Bike Broadford?

Classic Bike Broadford is a high-atmosphere period, non-competitive motorcycle event
renowned worldwide. Running continuously since 2009, the event was originally known as
the Broadford Bonanza and was independently taken over by Rachelle and Mick in 2023.
Widely regarded as a motorcycle mecca of the Southern Hemisphere, the event is hosted at
Australia’s premier and state motorcycle complex Broadford. It brings together like-minded
enthusiasts from all over Australia who share a passion for motorcycles and the
opportunity to ride them in a controlled, safe, and—most importantly—fun environment.
The event runs over three days, with most participants and many spectators choosing to
camp on site, creating a strong social atmosphere, that includes Industry trade throughout
the weekend. The experience is further enhanced with live music on Saturday evening
for all to enjoy.
Classic Bike Broadford is held at Australia’s only dedicated motorcycle park featuring
both national-level on-road and off-road tracks and facilities, making it uniquely suited
to a multi-discipline classic motorcycle event.
Entrants are able to enjoy ontrack sessions across all three disciplines at 1 event:
● Speedway / Dirt Track
● Off-Road Scramble / Enduro
● Road Racing
The event is structured around period-correct motorcycles, with entries open this year to
any motorcycle manufactured prior to 2002, or machines built using components
manufactured before 2002.

a stress-free, non-competitive environment, allowing riders to safely enjoy and
challenge both themselves and their machines.
● It enables hundreds of riders to operate motorcycles that cannot be ridden at
any other event, ensuring historically significant and unique machines are seen,
heard, and experienced in their natural environment.
● Located in one of Victoria’s most iconic riding regions, the venue attracts
hundreds of spectators daily—significantly extending its reach beyond registered
entrants.
● The event demonstrates that large-scale motorcycle gatherings can be inclusive,
family-friendly, and well-managed, reinforcing a positive image of motorcycling to
the broader community.
● It creates a valuable platform for the motorsport and motorcycle industry to
